Icebreaker-Track and Field

Yesterday’s Icebreaker Track and Field event hosted at Siuslaw High School was the first time the team competed on the Field in the 2022 season.  In the women’s 1500 meter race senior Rylee Colton placed first with a time of 5:34.45.  Chad Hughes placed 2nd in the men’s 1500, followed by Sam Ulrich in third.  Junior Hunter Petterson placed first in the 100 meters with a time of 11.88.  In the men’s 400 senior James Smith took first place with a time of 57.01.  Men’s 800 meter was won by junior Jacob Blankenship.  Kyle Hughes placed first in the 3000 meter for the men.  Siuslaw placed second in both the men’s and women’s 4×100 relay.  Jonathan Rose placed second in the men’s shot put and finished first in the men’s discus.  Senior Rhys Fleming placed third in the men’s javelin.  And Sophomore Kyle Hughes and senior Camp Lacouture placed second and third respectively in the men’s Pole Vault.

Viking Baseball

The Siuslaw Vikings will be facing Mazama today in baseball.  The game will be aired on KCST beginning at 3:30.  They will turn their attention to Klamath Union on Saturday for a double header on KCST beginning at 11:45

Duck Basketball

The Oregon Ducks will be in Texas for round 2 of the NIT the game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 8:30 tomorrow morning.

Beaver Baseball

Oregon State Baseball will face ASU beginning at 5 pm on KCFM.  The three game series will continue tomorrow at 1 pm and Sunday at 11:30.

Duck Baseball

The Oregon Ducks will be on the field against Utah for a 3 game series beginning today at 6pm.
