Ducks in Extra Innings

It was the Oregon Ducks turn to hold their breath yesterday as San Francisco held a 3-2 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning at PK Park.  The Ducks hit into a double play in the bottom of the ninth but managed to score a run to tie the game and it went into extra innings.  It would be the bottom of the 11th before a Gavin Grant single to second base would score Josh Kasevich from third and give the Ducks the 4-3 win.

Beavers Win After Blown Lead

The Oregon State Beavers were Leading Nevada in Reno yesterday 8-4, but allowed a 4 run 8th inning for the Wolfpack to tie it up 8-8.  The Beavers would not have to play back to back extra inning games after a sacrifice fly in the top of the ninth scored Wade Meckler.  Nevada left one man on in the bottom of the ninth but the game ended on a fly ball to right field.  The Beavers escaped 9-8.
