Siuslaw Over Cottage Grove
The Siuslaw Viking rebounded after their loss to Elmira with an 8-3 victory over Cottage Grove. The Vikings began the game with a 3 run first inning and added two more in the 3rd and 4th innings. 3 Vikings had multiple hits. Andrew Jensen-Norman gets the win for Siuslaw. He faced 14 batters fanning 5. Coach Tom Shinn said overall the team did well at the plate. He said there emphasis lately has been to eliminate strike-outs. There were only 4 in the game. The Vikings are scheduled for a double header on Friday against the Marshfield Pirates who are 10-3 in league play.

Ducks Break Streak
The Oregon Ducks broke free from their losing streak yesterday with a 15-6 win over visiting UC San Diego. The Ducks poured it on heavily with 19 hits on the afternoon. San Diego managed 12 hits. The Ducks begin a 3 game series with ASU tomorrow.
