Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Mapleton Track and Field standout Joseph Shepard as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Joe cleared a personal record 43’-1” in the Triple Jump and broke the previous Mapleton record in the process and took second place in the state 1A Championships on Saturday
Honorable Mention
Honorable mention goes to Siuslaw freshman Ryan Klampe who, after winning the district golf championship for Siuslaw tied for 7th in the state tournament last week in the return of Siuslaw golf.
Pac-12 Tournament
Tomorrow begins the double elimination Pac-12 tournament. The Oregon Ducks are up first with a 9am game against the Arizona Wildcats followed by a later game by the OSU Beavers and Washington Huskies. That game will begin at 4:45 and have a 4:15 pregame on KCFM.
