Mapleton Senior Joe Shepard was honored in a school-wide ceremony on Friday for setting a new school record in the tripe-jump. Shepard finished sixth in the state in the high jump and broke the Mapleton record in the triple jump with a 43 foot 1 inch jump.

In NCAA super reginal baseball on Saturday the Oregon State Beavers faced the Auburn Tigers in the first of a best of 3 series where the Beavers fell to the Tigers 7 – 5. On Sunday claimed a victory over the Tigers before a sold out crowd at Goss Stadium. The Final 4 – 3 Beavs. Oregon State and Auburn play this afternoon at 4:30pm with the winner advancing to the College World Series. Airtime on KCFM is 4:00.
