Ems Baseball
The Eugene Emeralds are at home tonight against the Spokane Indians. The 6 game series will be played at PK Park. The Ems are currently a half game back of Vancouver in the Northwest League. The division is tight with Tri-City at the bottom just 2.5 games back. First pitch tonight for the Ems is 6:35.
Team Italia Finishes Prep
The Italian Track and Field team is finishing up their time in Florence. The team has been training at Siuslaw High School in preparation for the World Track and Field Championships that begin in Eugene at Hayward Field on Friday. If a private ceremony the team was given the Key to the City on Monday. The city in conjunction with the high school has been providing many services for the team since their arrival including three meals a day.
