Cameraman Foils Steeplechase
Yesterday in Eugene a new obstacle appeared out of nowhere on the steeplechase course at world championships. A cameraman. –Trying to get a great shot of the triple jump competition going on nearby, a World Athletics cameraman stepped onto the track, unaware there was a live race going on behind him. As a phalanx of runners was approaching the cameramen, the runners spread out to pass by and nobody was hurt.
Another Beaver Selected in Draft
Oregon State right-hander Jake Pfennings was selected in the 13th round of the MLB draft. Pfennings was the latest Beaver to be selected, he will be going to the Oakland Athletics. He pitched in 11 games this past season with a 4-1 record for the Beavers.
