Ems Topped by Hops

The Hillsboro Hops finally got the Ems number last night as they scored 7 runs early to take a 7 zip lead into the bottom of the sixth inning.  The Ems mounted a small retaliation with 2 runs in the 6th, but the hops held them off scoring their 8th run in the 8th inning.  The Ems didn’t give up adding 2 more runs in the bottom of the ninth  with a two run homer.  The game ended on a strike out.  The series continues this evening at PK Park.
