Scam Warning

The Attorney General for Oregon is warning homeowners of the latest scam to circulate in the state.  You may have received an email from Home Warranty Solutions urging you to purchase a home warranty with a warning that your old warranty may be expiring even if you have never purchased one.  The wording includes references to your mortgage company and county deed records, however there is no affiliation according to Rosenblum.  She urges individuals that have received this email to file a  complaint with the Department of Justice.

Bronco Round-up

You may have noticed an increase in Broncos in town, that is because the 2022 Northwest Bronco Roundup has begun.  The group is filling the streets of Florence this weekend and will be here until Sunday.  One reason to mention this is that traffic in Old Town is expected to be high and parking at a premium.  While here the group is participating in a canned food drive to benefit the Florence Food Share.

Debris Collection

This Saturday the city of Florence will be collecting yard debris at 27th street and Kingwood by the Public Works building.  The collection begins at 9 am and there is a fee for disposal.  A standard pick-up or a small utility trailer is $11.00 and can go up from there depending on the size of truck or trailer.  Cash or Check only.  This is for tree clippings, grass clippings, leaves, weeds, prunings and brush.  No trash, recycling, or tree stumps.  Debris must be free of rocks, dirt and soil.
