Gas Prices

The latest gas price figures complied by AAA Oregon have been released.  Marie Dodds with AAA says that gas prices are continuing their downward trend with Oregon slipping another 4 cents per gallon from the previous week.  The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Oregon is now at $4.82.  the price for a gallon of regular gas in Florence is at $4.55.  Dodds says the price drops are due to two major factors, falling crude prices and unseasonable low demand.  She also says that almost two-thirds of Americans have changed their driving habits which included putting off vacations and staying closer to home.  Dodds expects the prices to continue a downward trajectory, but for how long it is not known.
