Sailor’s Victory

The Mapleton Sailors got their first victory in 6 man football last night defeating McKenzie 21-13.  Two of the three touchdowns by the Sailors came from Keevyn Walker.  Walker had a two yard run on offense and ran back a kick 64 yards for his third touchdown in the last two games.  Mapleton heads to Eddyville Charter next week.

Volleyball

Siuslaw Viking Volleyball experience just their second loss of the season in a hard fought battle against Cresswell on the road.  The Viks lost in 4 sets 3-1.  The Vikings head to sisters for a tournament tomorrow.

Mapleton Volleyball was at Mohawk last night to take on Prairie City.  The Sailors lost in straight sets.

Siuslaw Football (update)

The Siuslaw Viking game for this evening has been moved to Redmond High School due to poor air quality in La Pine.  Game time remains the same.  The game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 6:45.

Viking Cross Country

Siuslaw Cross Country will be in Eugene tomorrow for the NW Classic at Lane Community College

Siuslaw Open

The 12th annual Siuslaw Open golf tournament raised almost 14,000 for Siuslaw Outreach Services.tournament chair and SOS board Member Justin Young said he was thrilled with the turnout with had 88 golfers.  Executive Director for SOS Bob Teter said the success of the event will help many families who are struggling. SOS provides many services including assistance for those who have experienced domestic abuse, sexual violence and human trafficking along with many other services.
