Girls Soccer

Viking Girls Soccer was on the field against Elmira.   Keira Johnson had 4 shots on goal after being thrown to the ground by an Elmira player.  The Vikings had 10 shots on goal and goalie Nyx Harklerode had 22 saves.  Despite their efforts the Vikings fell 7-0.

Viking Football

The Siuslaw Vikings will host the Harrisburg Eagles  the eagles are 1 and two to start the season and are coming off a 1 win season last year.  Viking Coach Sam Johnson says he doesn’t expect Harrisburg to be a pushover.  He says they have excellent coaching and are dialing in to be contenders in the league.  But he adds that the Vikings are also dialing in and taking every advantage knowing they have to win league games to make the playoffs or compete for a league Championship.  Game time is 7 pm with a 6:45 pregame on KCST.

Mapleton Football

The Mapleton Sailors are coming off a win last week and hope to repeat again this week as they travel to Eddyville.  Eddyville Charter is coming off a close game against Siletz last week that saw them fall 40-39.  It’s an early game tomorrow with a 4pm kickoff.

Cross Country

Viking Cross Country will be at the Champs Invitational at Cheadle Park in Lebanon this afternoon beginning at 4:00 PM.

College Football

The Oregon Duck will face Washington State from Pullman tomorrow, game time on KCST is 11:30.  The Beavers host USC on KCFM beginning at 5:30
