High School Football

The Siuslaw Vikings were victorious on Friday Night as they traveled to Creswell to face the bulldogs.  The Vikings improve to 2-1 in league play in a high scoring win posting 46 points to the Bulldogs 34.  The Vikings host Elmira this Friday.

The Mapleton Sailors 6 man team was defeated by Riddle 24-14 on Friday night.  In the loss QB Keevyn Walker had two rushing touchdowns.

Volleyball

On Saturday the Siuslaw volleyball team split a pair of matches in Junction City.  The Vikings held off Sweet Home 2-1 and then fell to Burns 0-2 in the late match.

Cross Country

Siuslaw Vikings Cross Country finished third in the boys 5000 meter run on Saturday and the girls finished in second at the Woahink Invitational.  For the Boys Sam Ulrich, Kyle Hughes and Jacob Blankenship finished 7th, 9th and 14th respectively for 71 total points.  For the girls it was Corduroy Holbrook finishing 7th followed by freshman Alison Hughes in 9th and Addison McNeill and Jane Lacouture in 17th and 18th for 50 points.

College Football

The Oregon Ducks never trailed in Saturday’s game against Stanford.  The Ducks pulled out to a 10-0 lead and added another 35 to defeat the Cardinal 45-27 at home. Duck QB Bo Nix ran for 142 yards and was 16-29 passing with two TDs and no interceptions.

The Beavers fell to 3-2 after three interceptions and a 42-16 drubbing by the hosting Utah Utes.

Boys Soccer

Viking Girls Soccer will be on the field today against Santiam Christian, Kings Valley Charter beginning at 4:30 at the field at 27th and Oak.
