Viking/Elmira

The Siuslaw Vikings were aggressive in their play on Friday night and it turned into a victory for the Viks. The team started out slow giving up touchdown to the visiting Falcons of Elmira, but quickly found their stride. Odin Smith had three touchdowns on the night and Ian Sissel added another in the 38-21 victory. The Vikings are now 4-2 on the season and 3-1 in league play. They play 4A’s North Marion on the road this week and return the following week for Homecoming against Sisters.

Viking Cross Country

Viking Harriers were out on Saturday. Siuslaw finished second behind Philomath for both the girls and boys teams. Sam Ulrich finished in third place for the Viking boys, followed by Kyle Hughes in 7th place. Jacob Blankenship finished in 14th. for the girls Alison Hughes was the top finisher in 11th place.

Viking Volleyball

Viking Volleyball will host Creswell this evening at 6:30. Viking girls soccer will visit Sisters this evening at 6pm.

College Football

The Oregon State Beavers and the Oregon Ducks won over the weekend. The beavers defeated Stanford 28-27 and the Ducks rolled over the Wildcats 49-22.
