Ducks and Beavers Rivalry

Despite having several players on the offensive line banged up, the Oregon Ducks managed to secure their victory over the Utah Utes physical play on defense only allowing one sack is Saturday’s game.  The Ducks reconfigured their offense after enjoying eight weeks of continuity at the line.  This week the Ducks hope to get the return of their senior center Alex Forsyth will be ready to go.  Senior qb Bo Nix is also still nursing a sore ankle, but has been taking snaps this week as he continues to recover.  The Ducks and the Beavers prepare for this Saturday’s rivalry at 12:30.  Pregame on KCST will be at 11 and pregame on KCFM will be at 11:30.

Prep Basketball

Prep Basketball is set to get underway next week at area high schools.  The Siuslaw Vikings open up against the North Bend Bulldogs at home next Wednesday the 30th.  The girls will tip off at six pm and they boys will follow at approximately 7:30.  Both games will be carried live on KCST with airtime at 5:45.  The Mapleton Sailor boys tip off at Mapleton High School the same day beginning at 5:30.  The Sailor girls will follow at seven.

Round Ball Tournament

The Ducks and the Beavers will be playing in tournaments this weekend beginning tomorrow in Portland.  The Ducks face UConn and the Beavers go up against the Duke Blue Devils.
