Viking Basketball

The Siuslaw Viking boys basketball team showed some heart in the second half of last night’s game against Creswell.  Down by more than 20 in the game the Viks had several runs that closed the gap, but overall the Bulldogs were just too much. Outscoring the Vikings 56-38.  Game two of double header pitted the lady Vikings and the bulldogs.  Creswell outscored the Viks 57 – 16.

Next up for the Vikings is Elmira tomorrow evening beginning at 5:45 on KCST.

Viking Wrestling

7 Viking Wrestlers took first place finishes at yesterday’s Sweet Home Duals, but it was not enough to get a top finish for either of the teams.  For the girls Danin Lacouture, Jane Lacouture, Macali Lade and Abby Riggs all took top spots and for the boys it was Hunter Petterson, Dayne Muller and Mason Buss that all scored victories.  Buss wrestled his final match through a knee injury.  That injury is being evaluated

Mapleton Basketball

The Mapleton Sailors will be on the court this evening against Eddyville Charter the boys will start first at 5:30 the girls game will be at 7pm.

Oregon Ducks

5 ducks were in double figures last night and senior Will Richardson has a double-double in the ducks commanding win against the golden bears of cal last night.  Rivaldo Soares led all ducks with 13 and the ducks shot just under 60% from the field in the 87-58 win on the road.  The Ducks remain in California for a shot at Stanford on Saturday with a 7:30 pregame on KCST.

Beavers

The OSU Beavers had the night off, but will be on the court this evening against Stanford with a 7:30 pregame on KCFM.
