Senior Night Wrestling
Last night was senior night for the Siuslaw viking wrestlers. For the boys Dayne Muller went 3-0 for the night in the 195 pound weight class. Jacob Mann also went 3-0 in the 182 pound class. Joel sissel in the 170 pound weight class went 3-0. Terry Elliot was 2-0 in the 160 pound class. Noah Gonzalez, competing in the 152 pound weight class was 2-1. Jacob Hamel was 2-1 in the 145 pound category. Derrick Vanduch was 3-0 in the 138 class. Hunter Petterson was 3-0 in the 132. Jaxon Chiang was 1-2 at 126.
For the girls Jane Lacouture was 1-1 at 155. Meika Shappell was 2-0 at 145. Danin Lacouture was 2-0 at 135, Rosa Mendez was 1-2 wrestling 130 and 120. Abby riggs was 2-0 at 115. And Macali Lade was 2-0 at 110.
Tomorrow and Saturday the Vikings will be at Harrisburg for the Special District Duals.
Mapleton Basketball
The Mapleton Sailors will see if they can avenge an early season loss against Triangle Lake. The boys were defeated44-17 at their first meeting, but the Sailors have been on a roll of late winning their last three outings. Triangle Lake is in second place in the league with an 8-2 record. Mapleton is 6-3.
The Mapleton Girls are at 3-4 in league play and also have to overcome an earlier defeat at the hands of Triangle Lake. The Sailor boys will play first at 5:30 followed by the girls.
College Hoops
The Ducks and the Beavers will be on the radio this evening. The Beavers will host Utah beginning at 7:30 on KCFM and the Ducks will host Colorado beginning at 5:30 on KCST.
