Siuslaw Viking Men’s Golf won its third tournament in a row with their best total to date. The combined team score was 349. Ryan Klampe was third overall with an 80 on the day
Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Siuslaw Track and Field athlete Kyle Hughes as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Kyle set a personal record in the 2 mile at the Oregon Relays at 9.52 which is the third fastest in Siuslaw history and then followed it up with a 14’11” personal record in the Pole Vault.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to Mapleton sophomore Evelynn McMaster who tossed a personal record best of 56’3” in the discus at the McKenzie High School Meet last Thursday.
Siuslaw Vikings
The Siuslaw Vikings are in Harrisburg today for baseball and softball. Both games begin at 4:30. The Baseball game will be broadcast on KCST beginning at 4:15.
OSU Baseball
Oregon State visited Grand Canyon University yesterday for baseball. The Beavers knocked in 6 runs in the 4th and 3 in the 5th and continued with 2 more in the 6th and 7th innings for a 13-2 win on 18 hits. They head home to prepare for Arizona this weekend.
