Viking Baseball

The Siuslaw Vikings improved their win total last night against Harrisburg.  The Vikings scored first in the top of the first inning but left the bases loaded.  In the bottom of the inning Harrisburg loaded up the bases without a hit but then a strike three call left them stranded.  Max Reynolds kept his hitting streak alive going 4 for 4 on the night and driving in 4 runs.  The Vikings also had 9 stolen bases with 3 by Eaden Mead.  Noah Dotson gets the win for the Viks facing 24 batters over 5 innings allowing just 2 hits with 7 K’s.  Zak Nilles finished up facing 8 batters with 1K.  The Vikings improved to 6-4 in league play and 10-5 overall.  They host Harrisburg on Friday for a double header.

Siuslaw Softball fell to Harrisburg 15-0

Mapleton Track and Field

Mapleton Sailor freshman Ramil Beers scored a third place finish in yesterday’s Mapleton meet setting a personal record 11.83 in the process. Junior Dom Stewart finished first in the High Jump a 5’2” also a personal record.  Sophomore Helen Burruss finished in first place in the 800 meters with a PR of 3:02.16.

Viking track and field are headed to Creswell today for a Special District JV meet.

Viking Ladies Golf

Viking ladies golf results from yesterday.  The team improved their overall score by 25 strokes posting their best score this season and reaching the top 10. Jenna Young led the team with a 116.
