Viking’s Win

The Siuslaw Vikings will head to Medford on Wednesday to take on Cascade Christian in round two of the State Baseball playoffs.  Last night the Vikings held on to defeat North Valley to advance.  The Vikings built a big lead through a series of wild pitches and excellent base running.  Andrew Jensen- Norman was the starting pitcher for the Vikings through 3 and 2/3 innings allowing 8 runs on 4 hits.  The Vikings still committed 3 errors in the game but made up for the mistakes with offense.  The Vikings scored 16 runs on 10 hits.  North Valley had a chance in the bottom of the ninth but fell short.  Final 16-13.
