Sports Update
High school sports is gearing up with competitions already in the books for volleyball and soccer. Siuslaw/mapleton soccer will have a home game on Thursday against Junction City at 6 pm on the field at 27th and Oak Street. Siuslaw Volleyball will be in North Bend on this evening and Mapleton Volleyball will host Riddle on Thursday. This Friday evening the Viking Football team will head to Newport for its first game of the season with a non-league matchup. Mapleton Football will move to a 6 man set up this season and will start on Friday against Eddyville Charter at the field at Siletz Valley High School.
