Volleyball
The Siuslaw Viking volleyball team will take on Sutherlin this evening. The road game for the Vikings will be at 6 pm. The Vikings will then take the week off and play again on Thursday the 7th.
The Mapleton Sailors volleyball will be at home against Riddle at 6 pm this evening.
Soccer
On the field this evening the Siuslaw/Mapleton combined soccer team will host Junction City/Harrisburg. The teams will play at 6pm on the field on the corner of 27th and Oak Street.
Football
Tomorrow begins the season for Siuslaw Football. They will head to Newport to face the Cubs. The Vikings dominated the Cubs last season with a 44-7 victory. Game time is 7 pm and pregame on KCST will be at 6:45.
Emeralds
Tri-City bounced back from the 15-1 shellacking by the Ems on Tuesday with a 9-4 victory last night. But it wasn’t an easy win for the Dust Devils. The teams were knotted up at the end of 9 innings and it was a flurry of hits in the top of the 12th inning that brought 6 runs across the plate for Tri-City. The two teams play again this evening.
