Soccer
Siuslaw/Mapleton soccer coach Londi Tomaro says the team played a tough game last night against Taft. Despite a fairly smooth game the team had difficulty winning the ball and finishing. Taft Scored a first half goal breaking through the defensive line. Despite 10 shots on goal the Vikings failed to get one through the net and the game ended 1-0 Taft. Goalies for the Vikings had 10 saves. Tomorrow the team will host Sutherlin at 6 pm.
Volleyball
Viking Volleyball will play Harrisburg tomorrow but that game will be on the road starting at 6:30.
The Mapleton Sailors fought hard against Siletz Valley last night taking the second set to 25-27 but losing to the Warriors 0-2.
Emeralds
The Eugene Emeralds continue their series on the road against the Everett Aqua Sox this evening..
