Siuslaw Blanks Elmira

The Siuslaw boy’s soccer team hosted Elmira yesterday to officially open league play.  Coach Londi Tomaro said it took most of the first half for the Viks to find their rhythm, but when they did, they put two in the net.  The second half the Vikings dominated play adding four more goals and keeping Elmira out of the net for a shut-out. Ray Brito Xilot scored a hat trick for the Vikings in the 6-0 win.

Girls fight to 5-5 Tie

The Siuslaw Girls Soccer team fought tough with Santiam Christian last night with both sides trading goals.  The lady Viks tied the game at 5-5. Freshman Ava Borgnino scored a hat trick.

Volleyball

Mapleton Volleyball traveled to Eugene yesterday to take on Mannahouse Christian Academy.  The Sailors won in three sets 25-11, 25-11 and 25-9.  Junior Morgan Milbrett has 15 aces and 5 kills.  Sophomore Averie Walker had 5 aces and 7 kills.

Siuslaw Viking were defeated by Sisters in straight sets last night : 10-25, 16-25 and 9-25

Viking Football

The Viking football team travels to Harrisburg this evening to face the Eagles.  Pregame on KCST will be at 6:45 with a 7 pm kickoff. The eagles are 0-1 in league play.

Ducks and Beavers

The Oregon Ducks will face Colorado tomorrow at Autzen Stadium. Pregame on KCST is at 11 with a 12:30 kickoff.  The Beavers are in Pullman Washington to face the Cougars. Pregame on KCFM is at 3 pm, kickoff at 4.
