Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Siuslaw soccer’s Charles Nelson at this week’s Athlete of the Week. Nelson scored another hat-trick in last week’s win over La Pine leading the way to a 9-1 victory. He scored two more goals in their 8-0 shutout of Crosshill Christian/Jefferson last Thursday.
Honorable Mention
Honorable Mention goes to another Viking soccer player Kale Jensen whose defensive play in last week’s games kept both La Pine and Crosshill Christian locked down and out of the goal.
Soccer Play-In
Central Linn will be in the house this evening to face the Siuslaw Viking soccer squad in a play-in. The game will be at 6 pm this evening at Hans Peterson Field. the Vikings are 9-3-1 overall on the season and the Cobras are 7-5-1 the one tie for both teams comes from their first meeting back on October 10th.
