Nix Honored
Oregon Duck QB Bo Nix received the honor of being the Pac-12 offensive player of the week. This is the third time this season he has received the honor and the sixth time overall in his collegiate career. Nix continued to strengthen his position as one of the top Heisman Trophy contenders with his efforts against USC on Saturday. Nix also leads the nation in pass percentage with 77.7 % completion rate.
College Basketball
The Oregon State Beavers will host the Appalachian State Mountaineers this evening in basketball. App state was a .500 team last season with its most notable win against Louisville. The pregame on KCFM will be at 6pm.
Siuslaw Sports
Siuslaw basketball practice got underway yesterday. The boys and girls teams will have their first outing at the end of the month with a visit to North Bend to face the Bulldogs. Preseason games begin on the 29th. their first league games will not be until after the New Year on January 3rd against Elmira.
