Viking Basketball
It was a high scoring game Friday night as the Viking Boys battled with North Valley. The Vikings kept in pace with the Knights, but in the end could not pass them. Andrew Jensen Norman had 21 for the Vikings with 14 rebounds. Chaz Edblom put up 14 and Michael Felkins had 12 in the high scoring game. Final 79-72
The Viking Girls struggled against the Knights scoring just 15 on the night to the Knights 42.
Mapleton Basketball
The Mapleton Sailor girls were on the court Friday as well against Reedsport. Reedsport topped the Sailors 53-44. The Mapleton Boys won their game against the Brave 53-49. The Sailors are 4-1 to start the season.
College Hoops
The Oregon Ducks men’s basketball team hosted UTEP on Saturday. The Ducks outscored UTEP by 22 with a 71-49 victory.
The lady Ducks took on Portland State on Saturday coming away with a 65-54 Victory
The OSU Beavers won a tight game of Saturday that fortunately did not require an overtime to get. The Beavs beat Utah Valley 74-71. The Oregon State women dropped Jackson State 78-58. The Beavers are undefeated so far: with a 7-0 record.

Viking Wrestling
Dayne Muller took Second Place over the weekend in the North Bend Coast Classic. Muller wrestled in the 190 pound weight class. For the girls Macali Lade took first place in the 115 pound weight class. Jane Lacouture finished second in the 170 pound class and her sister Danin Lacouture finished in 5th place in the 140 pound class.
