Sailors Continue Win Streak

The Mapleton Sailors found themselves in a back and forth battle last night against Triangle Lake.  The lead changes several times over the course of the game with neither team holding more than a 4 point advantage.  On the final possession senior Keevyn Walker stole the inbounds pass to prevent a last second attempt by the Lakers. Walker had 14 points on the night and freshman Roenin Barrows had 12 points in what coach Eric Wolgamatt called a breakout performance.  The final score was 51-48 and the Sailors stay undefeated in league play with a 4-0 record and are 12-2 overall.

The Sailor girls also won their game against the Lakers 33-29 in similar fashion.  Moving them to 7-7 overall and 3-1 in league play.  Next up for the sailors? They travel to McKenzie on Tuesday.
