The Mapleton Sailors boy’s basketball team defeated the McKenzie Eagles last night on the road in what has become typical Sailor fashion this season. The Sailors were led by senior Keevyn Walker who tallied 23 points with four 3-pointers in the 65-22 win. The team started two players for the first-time: sophomore Jacob Burchell and freshman Toni Garcia-Galvin. The Sailor boys are now 6-0 in league play and 14-2 overall.
The Mapleton girls continue to build upon their season. They have moved to 5-1 in league play defeating the Eagles 31-19. And are 9-7 overall.
The teams travel to Eddyville Charter for a game tomorrow.
Vikings Visit Creswell
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the court this evening. They travel to Elmira to try and bounce back from their battle against Creswell. The Girls are up first at 6 pm followed by the boys. The games will not be on KCST.
The Oregon Ducks will host the Arizona State Sun Devils this evening. The pregame on KCST will be at 5:30 and tip off will be at 6 pm. The Oregon State University Beavers will host the Arizona Wildcats at Gill Coliseum that game will begin at 7:30 with an 8pm tip off on KCFM.
It is senior duals day for the Siuslaw Viking Wrestlers matches begin at 5pm at Glen Butler Court against Creswell, Lowell and Stayton.
