Billies Drop Vikings
The Pleasant Hill Billies held the Siuslaw Vikings at bay last night in Pleasant Hill. The Vikings tried hard to gain ground on the Billies in the fourth quarter outscoring them 15-5 but the deficit was too wide to overcome. Andrew Jensen Norman had 15 on the night for the Viking boys. Final score 56-38. The viking girls also lost on the road to the Billies 51-12.
Sailor’s Teams Continue to Win
The Mapleton Sailors continue to lead the Mountain West League with an unbeaten season so far. Last night the Sailor boys defeated the McKenzie Eagles 54-21 to improve to 11-0 in league play. It was senior night for the Sailors and three seniors with Keevyn Walker, Brian Burnett and Tristan Stewart combining for 28 points. Dom Stewart garnered another double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds. Keevyn Walker also had a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.
The Sailor Girls improved to 8-3 in league play defeating the Eagles 37-5. The Sailor teams will face Mohawk tomorrow night.
