Antler Overtake Sailors

The Mapleton Sailors boys Basketball team held close to the Bonanza Antlers for one quarter last night with a one point differential, but the second quarter saw the Antlers pull away and dominate the Sailors home floor.  Although the 76-47 loss means an end to the Sailors remarkable season, coach Eric Wolgamatt says there were shining moments in the game with junior Dom Stewart having one of his best games of the season scoring a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds.  The Sailors season set several records including an 18 game win streak.  While the boys can now reflect on a great season it is time for the girls to see what their future will be as they hit the court this evening to face the number one seed North Douglas in Drain at 6:30.

Wrestling

Tomorrow will mark the beginning of the State Championships in Wrestling.  The Siuslaw boys and girls teams will be headed to Portland to compete over the three day tournament.

College Hoops

The Ducks and Beavers return to the court tomorrow evening.  They both travel to California.  The Ducks will meet Stanford and the Beavers will meet Cal.
