Ducks Madness Ends

The Oregon Ducks ended their NCAA March Madness run on Saturday with a double overtime loss to Creighton.  The Ducks went back and forth in the second half trading the lead with Creighton with N’faly Dante having the chance to put the game away with a free throw, a miss inevitably led to the first overtime.  During the second overtime the Ducks emptied their tank and Creighton went on to defeat the ducks 86-73.

Lady Beavers Reach Sweet 16

The Oregon State Women’s Basketball team last night advanced to the Sweet 16 after defeating Nebraska 61-51. Talia von Oelhoffen led the Beav’s with 19.

College Baseball

Beaver Baseball continues to roll taking three games from the Washington Huskies over the weekend.  Blanking the Huskies yesterday 10-0 for a 12-2 start on the season.

The Oregon Ducks took two of three from Arizona, but didn’t get the sweep with Arizona fighting back in game three with a 15-4 victory.

Mapleton Track and Field

At Last week’s Johnny Sundtrom invitational Mapleton sophomore Ramil Beers took 4th place in the 100 meters and the 200 meters. Freshman Toni Garcia-Galvan took 4th place in the 800 meters. Senior Dom Stewart took the top spot on the High Jump with a 5’6” jump. Junior Alex Burnett took the second place spot at 5’4”. For the girls it was Natalee Stevens and Helen Burruss sharing the top spots in the 800 meters posting a Personal record finish for both of 2:58.00 flat.  Stevens also took the 1500 meters at 6:11.96 also a personal record. Junior Evelynn McMaster finished second in the shot put with a toss of 23’.
