Viking Baseball/Softball

The Siuslaw Vikings are back on the field today for baseball and softball.  The Vikings head to La Pine today to face the Hawks.  The Hawks have also started league play at 3-0 and are 4-4 overall.  The pregame on KCST will begin at 4:15 with a 4:30 first pitch.  Softball will also have a 4:30 first pitch.

Baseball

This past weekend the Oregon Ducks swept Seattle U in a 4 game series culminating in a 14-7 win at PK Park on Saturday.  The Ducks will have a game against Portland tomorrow before heading out on the road on Friday for a series against UCLA.

The Oregon State Beavers dropped two games to the USC Trojans before getting rained out on Saturday for game three.  There is no announcement for a rescheduling of that game at this time.

The Beavers will be on the field this evening for the start of a two- game series against Gonzaga.  The Beavers return to KCFM on Friday against Arizona State.

OSU Ladies End March Madness Run

The Oregon State Beaver Women’s March Madness run came to a close in the Elite 8 game yesterday in Albany, New York against the USC Gamecocks. Final score 70-58.

Youth Soccer

Saturdays between now and May 11th Miller Park will be filled with youngsters playing soccer.  Play will begin at 9 AM each weekend, with the final games starting at noon.  The Siuslaw Youth Soccer Association has 21 teams, divided into four age groups:  Under-6, under-8, under-10 and under 12.  The regular season wraps up May 11th, they’ll take a week off, then play will conclude May 25th with a season ending tournament.
