Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club, the Siuslaw News and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Sophomore Kale Jensen as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Kale won the 110 and 300 meter hurdles in the special district 3A championships last week. Kale won 38 out of 40 possible points.
Honorable Mention
Honorable mention goes to Siuslaw golfer Ryan Klampe who made up 6 strokes in a come from behind victory with a second round 70 to take the special district championship.
Viking Golf
Siuslaw Viking golf is currently in 6th place in boys golf with Ryan Klampe tied for 6th place and Will Johnson tied for 29th place. Competition continues today.
Viking Softball
The Siuslaw Vikings will be on the field in softball for a 3-inning game against La Pine as they finish a game from a previous outing. The game will begin in the top of the 4th and will be played in a neutral spot at Elmira High School.
