Viking/Eagles Split
The Siuslaw Viking baseball team split a double header with Harrisburg yesterday. The Vikings too the first game 10-6. Game two saw Harrisburg come from behind after trailing 6-3 in the bottom of the seventh inning.
“Wind up and pitch, there’s a ball hit, that’s a base hit, game over, so they pull out the victory off a single off the bat of Sheffel. And that’s it the game goes down and the Vikings lose game number two.”
The loss moves the Vikings into 17th playoff brackets are due out tomorrow. Rankings freeze at 10pm this evening. Once the 20 qualifying teams are determined the play-off bracket will be announced.
Softball
Siuslaw Softball failed to get a run in either of their double header games losing to the Eagles 15-0 and 12-0.
State Meet Today/Tomorrow
State Track and Field Championships begin today at Heyward Field in Eugene and continue through tomorrow.
