Ducks Win Final Home Game
The Oregon men’s basketball team wrapped up its home schedule with a 73-64 Senior Night victory over Indiana before 9,584 fans at Matthew Knight Arena. Jackson Shelstad’s deep three-pointer late in the game ignited a 10-0 Ducks run to seal the win. TJ Bamba’s lockdown defense in the final minutes and Nate Bittle’s clutch free throws secured Oregon’s sixth straight victory. Shelstad led with 17 points, while Bittle added 14 points, seven rebounds, and four blocks. The Ducks (22-8, 11-8 Big Ten) now look to carry their momentum into the postseason. But still have one final regular season game this Sunday in Washington against the Huskies.
Track and Field Readies
While high school sports competition begins a short hiatus, the Siuslaw Track and Field team readies for the spring. Training continues for the upcoming opening event. On March 20th the Vikings will host the Siuslaw Icebreaker. Siuslaw will be joined by Coquille, Cottage Grove, Douglas and North Douglas.
