Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club and Coast Radio Sports congratulate senior Siuslaw wrestler Macali Lade as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Macali dominated the State 3A wrestling championships on Thursday and Friday. She received two wins by fall and one by major decision for her second state title in 3 years.
Honorable mention goes to Mapleton sophomore basketball player Lucie Burrus. Though in a losing effort against Powder Valley last Tuesday Burruss had 23 points, 7 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals.
Baseball Season Upcoming
The Siuslaw Vikings are practicing for the spring season of Baseball. The Vikings will have 10 games scheduled in non-league play beginning on March 18th against Pleasant Hill. Viking softball will also begin their non-league season against Pleasant hill on the 18th. both games will be at Siuslaw.
Ducks
The Oregon Ducks will host Indiana tonight in basketball. The game will air on KCST at 5:30 p.m.
