Athlete of the Week
The Sports Club and Coast Radio Sports congratulate Clayton Wilson as this week’s Athlete of the Week. This past weekend at the Marist Track Classic, Clayton set another Siuslaw High School record, this time in the 3000 meters with a personal record time of 8:28.89. this marks the 6th school record Clayton now holds.
Honorable Mention
Honorable mention goes to Junior Danin Lacouture who led the field in the shot put with a toss of 35’7.25” and placed third in the discus.
Viking Baseball/Softball
The Viking baseball and softball teams are on the field today to face Glide. Games begin at 5pm with the Viking baseball game beginning at 4:45 on KCST.
Viking Golf
Siuslaw senior Ryan Klampe fired a 1-under 70 to sit third individually after round one of the Boys Special District 2 Tournament at Trysting Tree in Corvallis. The Vikings were fourth as a team at 320, just outside state qualifying.
The Lady Vikings shot 462 as a team and stood sixth after round one of the Special District 4 Tournament at Sandpines. Junior Jozalyn Hulet led Siuslaw with a 103. North Bend topped the leaderboard at 374.
