Athlete of The Week
The Sports Club and Coast Radio Sports congratulate sophomore Mapleton softball player Morgan Milbrett as this week’s Athlete of the Week. Milbrett singled, double, and tripled in last week’s season ending game against Creswell driving in 4 RBI’s. her defense also accounted for 3 outs in the field.
Honorable mention goes to Siuslaw sophomore Caleb Gray who posted a personal record best in the javelin tossing the pole 160’11”.

Siuslaw senior Ryan Klampe shot a 9-over-par 80 Monday to open the OSAA 3A/2A/1A Boys State Golf Championships at Trysting Tree Golf Club in Corvallis. Klampe, making his fourth straight state appearance, sits tied for 23rd heading into today’s final round. Starting on the back nine, he posted 11 pars, five bogeys, and two double bogeys—both on par 3s. Klampe tees off on hole No. 1 at noon. He finished in the top 10 in each of his first three state tournaments.
