Wilson Gets 3000 Championship
Siuslaw senior Clayton Wilson has claimed the 3000 meter state championship at yesterday’s 3A championships in Eugene. Wilson completed the task in 8:37.42 Freshman Henry stone place 5th in the event. In prelim events junior Kale Jensen placed 3rd in the 300 meter hurdles. In the shot put senior Max Reynolds placed 5th. Will Johnson made the podium with a 3rd place finish in the triple jump. For the girls it was sophomore Aidell Cadet who made the podium with a third place finish in the High jump setting a personal record with a height of 1.54 meters. Day two of competition is today at Heyward Field.
Regional Baseball
This evening the Oregon Ducks will host Utah Valley in NCAA regional baseball. The game from PK Park will begin at 6pm. the Oregon State Beavers will host regional action against St. Marys. That game will be at Goss stadium beginning at 5pm. the pregame will begin on KCFM beginning at 4:30. Regional action will continue tomorrow with the Ducks facing either Arizona or Cal Poly and the Beavers will face either USC or TCU.
