Athletes Receive National Accolades
Beavers:
A record five Oregon State baseball players have been named to the American Baseball Coaches Association All-Region team. Catcher Wilson Weber, outfielder Gavin Turley, and pitcher Ethan Kleinschmit earned first-team honors, while shortstop Aiva Arquette and pitcher Dax Whitney made the second team. Turley, a repeat first-team selection, leads the Beavers with 19 home runs and 66 RBI. All three first-teamers are now eligible for All-American recognition. The honors come as OSU prepares for the Men’s College World Series later this week.
Ducks:
Oregon outfielder Mason Neville and pitcher Grayson Grinsell have been named All-Americans by Perfect Game, with both also earning first-team ABCA All-Region honors. They’re joined by Dominic Hellman and Jacob Walsh, who also made the All-Region West team. Neville led the nation with 26 home runs, breaking Oregon’s single-season record. Grinsell posted a 9-3 record with a 3.01 ERA and 101 strikeouts. Hellman hit .326 with 13 homers, while Walsh wrapped up his career as Oregon’s all-time leader in home runs, RBI, and multiple-RBI games.
