AD for Ducks Contract Extension
The University of Oregon has extended Athletic Director Rob Mullens’ contract through the 2032-33 academic year. Approved June 23rd by the Board of Trustees, the extension is fully funded through athletics revenue and donor support. Mullens has led Oregon to 18 NCAA titles and overseen the school’s transition into the Big Ten. In its first Big Ten year, Oregon claimed a league-best eight conference championships. The extension comes as the university faces a separate $25-30 million budget deficit, which officials say will not be impacted by athletics spending.
More Post Season for a Couple of Beavers
Oregon State pitchers Ethan Kleinschmit and Dax Whitney have been invited to Team USA’s Collegiate National Team Training Camp, which begins this week. The top 56 non-draft eligible players will compete in a five-game intrasquad series starting June 29 in North Carolina. Standouts will advance to represent the U.S. in the USA vs. Japan Collegiate All-Star Series in July. Kleinschmit and Whitney are coming off strong seasons for the Beavers, and they’ll be joined by OSU staffers Brad Brown and Amelia Moir in support roles with Team USA.
