Ems Sweep
The Eugene Emeralds defeated the Hillsboro Hops 7-4 Sunday, clinching their first series sweep of the season and tying their longest win streak in the High-A era at eight. Eugene is now 12-2 in the second half. Dayson Croes led the offense with a 2-RBI double and scored twice, while Guillermo Williamson drove in three runs, including an RBI single in the 7th. Dylan Carmouche earned his fifth straight win, and Cam Pferrer closed the door in the 9th for his third save.
Former Beavers Get All-Star Nod
Two former Oregon State Beavers have been named to the 2025 Major League Baseball All-Star Game. Left-handed pitcher Matthew Boyd was selected as a reserve for the National League—his first All-Star nod. Boyd, who pitched for OSU from 2010 to 2013, is 8-3 with a 2.65 ERA this season. Outfielder Steven Kwan will represent the American League as a reserve, earning his second straight All-Star selection. The 2016–18 Beaver is batting .293 with 19 doubles and 11 stolen bases. The All-Star Game is set for Tuesday, July 15 at 5 p.m.
