Ems Battle
The Eugene Emeralds and Tri-City Dust Devils lit up the scoreboard in a wild 19-18, 11-inning Dust Devils win — the most combined runs in an Emeralds game this season. Eugene jumped out with a 7-run first inning, but Tri-City clawed back to tie it 11-11 by the third. The teams traded blows all night, with Damian Bravo driving in five runs and Jonah Cox tripling home a go-ahead score in the 11th. But Juan Flores ended it for Tri-City with a walk-off homer. The Ems are now 32-12 in the second half, holding an 8-game lead with 22 to play.
Soccer Registration
Late registration for the Siuslaw Youth Soccer Association’s fall season opens at 12:01 a.m. Monday, with late fees applying. SYSA says teams will be filled in the order players register, and some may be placed on a wait list until more spots open. Coaches are also needed, and early registration helps avoid delays in team placement.
