Beavers Roll Over #12 USC

Bryce Hubbard hit a two-run homer in the first inning and Oregon State never looked back in a 12-4 win over 12th-ranked USC Tuesday at Dedeaux Field. The 16th-ranked Beavers jumped out to a 9-0 lead by the fourth inning, with Easton Talt driving in three runs and AJ Singer adding key hits as Oregon State improved to 18-5 on the season. USC scored four in the fourth, but the Beavers shut them down the rest of the way. Paul Vazquez capped the scoring with a three-run homer in the ninth. Connor Mendez picked up the win in relief. Oregon State returns home Friday to open a series against Mercer. Pregame on KCFM is at 5 p.m.

Ducks Shut Out UC San Diego

Miles Gosztola and Leo Uelmen combined on a one-hitter as 20th-ranked Oregon shut out UC San Diego 6-0 Tuesday. Gosztola was dominant, taking a no-hitter into the seventh inning and finishing with eight strikeouts while allowing just one hit and one walk. Uelmen closed it out, retiring six of the seven batters he faced. Offensively, Jack Brooks led the Ducks with a three-run home run and four RBIs, while Gabe Miranda added three hits and scored twice. Oregon improves with the nonconference win and continues strong play on both the mound and at the plate.

Viking Baseball

The Vikings are at home today with baseball only scheduled to play.  Siuslaw will host Bandon in a double header with game on starting at noon.  Game 2 will be covered by KCST beginning at 1:45.
