League Play Opens
Siuslaw opened Far West League play with a loss Thursday, falling ten‑nothing to South Umpqua. The Vikings were limited to two hits, singles by Micah Blankenship and Michael Fitzsimmons. The Siuslaw Lady Vikings opened Far West League play with a nineteen‑to‑one loss to South Umpqua Thursday. The game was decided by a fifteen‑run fourth inning for the Lancers. The teams meet again today for a doubleheader at South Umpqua, starting at three o’clock.
Track and Field
Track and Field will be in Roseburg Saturday for competition with 22 teams competing. Viking standouts, Tom Morgan, Will Johnson, Aidell Cadet and Danin Lacouture are hoping to improve on their season accomplishments along with their Viking teammates.
College Baseball
The Oregon State Beavers will be on the air today on KCFM beginning at 5pm. They face Cal State Fullerton for a three game series.
The Oregon Ducks will be on the road against Illinois.
