The Eugene Emeralds continue to struggle in the second half, falling to Everett 6-4. The AquaSox have now taken the first 2 games of the series, as Eugene drops to 1-4 in the second half despite a strong 43-28 overall record. Walker Martin highlighted the night with his 9th home run, but Everett pulled ahead late and held off a 9th-inning threat to secure the win.

Volleyball Workouts

The Siuslaw volleyball team is gearing up for fall, with summer workouts already underway. Voluntary scrimmages are set for Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 to 6:30 p.m., followed by weights. A Captains Clinic is Aug. 6 and 7, youth camp Aug. 11 through 13, alumni scrimmage Aug. 14, and mandatory practice begins Aug. 17.

Anonymous Gift For Goss Stadium

Oregon State University leaders have announced a planned expansion of Goss Stadium at Coleman Field, backed by an anonymous $15 million gift. The project includes new right-field bleacher seating, a clubhouse, and fan amenities. University officials say the improvements aim to meet demand and support long-term success, with completion expected in 2028.
