Viking Trap
The Siuslaw Vikings brought home 2 team titles from the Oregon State High School Clay Target League finals in Bend over the weekend. Despite heavy rain and strong winds, Siuslaw won both the junior varsity and novice divisions. Macie Moore led the JV squad with an 88 out of 100 to place fourth overall, while Auley Steventon finished second in the novice division as the Vikings captured that title for the third straight year. Coach Sean Grundon praised the team’s grit and sportsmanship.
Emeralds
The Eugene Emeralds are on the road this week to Vancouver for a 6 game series against the Canadians. the Ems and Canadians have started the second half of the season 4-5 with both trailing Hillsboro by 2 games. The Ems will be back home next week for a series against Spokane.
