Ems Waste 5 Run Lead
The Eugene Emeralds let a 5-0 lead slip away Tuesday night, falling to the Vancouver Canadians 6-5 on a walk-off single by Peyton Williams in the bottom of the ninth. Dakota Jordan hit his team-leading 12th home run and has now gone deep in back-to-back games. The loss drops the Ems in the series opener at Vancouver.
Preseason Attention for 4 Ducks
The Oregon Ducks are drawing national attention ahead of the 2026 season, placing four players on the Walter Camp preseason All-America teams. Defensive back Brandon Finney Jr. and outside linebacker Teitum Tuioti earned first-team honors, while tight end Jamari Johnson and defensive lineman A’Mauri Washington were named to the second team. Oregon’s four selections are tied with Indiana for the second-most in the nation, trailing only Texas with five. Finney led the Ducks with three interceptions last season, while Tuioti paced Oregon with 16 tackles for loss and 9.5 sacks. The Ducks open fall camp in August and kick off the season September 5 against Boise State at Autzen Stadium.
