Ems Even Series; Duck Softball Adds a Pitcher

Ems Even Series

The Eugene Emeralds snapped Spokane’s 10-game winning streak with a 10-2 victory Wednesday night, evening the series and improving to 8-9 in the second half. Lisbel Diaz led the offense with a 2-run homer and 3 RBIs, his third straight game with a home run. Eugene built an 8-0 lead before Spokane got on the board, while the Ems added two more runs in the seventh and will look to get back to .500 in the second half with a win tonight.

Duck Softball Adds a Pitcher

Oregon softball has added another experienced arm through the transfer portal. Right-handed pitcher Kate Dahle is transferring to the Ducks after two seasons at BYU. Dahle posted a 14-12 record with a 3.73 ERA during her Cougar career, including an impressive sophomore season in 2025 when she went 8-6 with a 2.60 ERA and 86 strikeouts. Ducks head coach Melyssa Lombardi says Dahle’s movement, changeup and ability to induce ground balls make her an ideal fit for Oregon’s pitching staff. Dahle joins fellow BYU transfer and All-American outfielder Ilove’a Brittingham in Eugene..
